In general, applicants should hold (or be expected to achieve) a first class honours degree from a university in the UK, or a degree of an equivalent standard from an overseas university. In the US system a cumulative GPA of at least 3.7 is normally required. The MPhil Management Committee retain the right to admit on a high 2.i or equivalent where it is warranted. All students will be interviewed by a member of the Management Committee prior to an offer of admission, in order to establish their level of English competence as well as their fit for this course. We welcome applications from medical students wishing to do an intercalated year who have completed at least three years of undergraduate study and achieved our normal standards for admission.
